2 - Day Odissi Dance Festival, October 2006, Lowry Theatre, Manchester

The first of its kind in the UK. Organised by Milapfest, UK. It's a unique 2-day festival which would have group discussion sessions on Odissi dance, art and music; dance workshops , photographic exhibitions and video clips of the late Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra ( as a tribute), history of Odissi dance followed by evening dance performances by dancers from the UK and India. 'Angahaar' - The many shades of Shringaar. Mitali and her students will be performing a galaxy of dances.   At present Mitali is also continuing research on a production that is based on love poetry encompassing Jayadeva and Tagore. The eternal love of Radha and Krishna -Twamasi mama jeevanam. This production is due to take stage in April 2006.
